Should yoga_pants imply leggings?

Comparing the posts on Pixiv tagged with レギンス (leggings), ヨガウェア (yogawear), and ヨガパンツ (yoga pants), it seems that yoga pants is considered a kind of leggings.

To add on to the OP, per a quick Google search, English usage of the terms suggests it's common to either treat the two as effectively synonyms (differentiated only by context, e.g. whether it's used for leisure or exercise) or consider yoga pants as a subset of leggings.

Yoga pants is an outer layer, and already implies pants.

Implying leggings too seems like a bad idea to me.

As Marq said, "yoga pants" are just another name for leggings; if you google them both, you get pretty much the same results. As such, I'd prefer to see yoga_pants aliased to leggings rather than imply it. However, they are at the very least definitely not pants, so that implication needs to be removed regardless of what happens. I'll be submitting a second BUR for that in the case OP's BUR is approved instead.

I didn't say that. I said that it's rather common for people to do that, with the alternative of considering yoga pants as a variant of leggings being also common.

Because they're just another name for leggings, which we don't tag as pants.
