The bulk update request #7936 (forum #200135) has been rejected by @nonamethanks.
If we don't want such abbreviations we should remove all existing ones and mention the "/" shortcut in help:cheatsheet. Still I think it is less intuitive for searching, especially for new users.

I think it's very unintuitive for everyone, not just for the new users. I didn't even know this was a thing until now.
This is just adding unnecessary extra steps for sake of adding extra steps, and these won't even show up in the autofill unless you type ''/'' in the first place.
I agree with the above, the common user will never know about / shortcuts. (I myself only know of them because i accidentally stumbled into them)
The current system has been made with taggers in mind, and it can't be automatized without creating weird searches (/kh -> kagiyama hina instead of kingdom hearts is a perfect example).
Aliases would probably be the best option.
Many things on this website will be unknown to people unless they "stumble into them" so I don't really think it's a major concern. I added a section to help:cheatsheet yesterday about it.
