Toushinden (闘神伝) is the Japanese title, while 'Battle Arena' was added for the localized versions. The Wii game is entirely different from the original trilogy and uses the kanji 闘真伝, but the pronunciation is the same.

Apparently "Battle Arena" was used as the official subtitle for the Japanese versions. (except for this game: "Puzzle Arena Tôshinden")

By the way, danbooru's official romanization of 闘神伝 (とうしんでん) is "toushinden".

Updated the aliases and changed toshinden (wii) to toushinden_war_budokai.

I'm still a little dubious about the "Battle Arena" part. Some of the Japanese covers have it such as Toushinden 2, Toushinden 2 Plus and Toushinden 3, but others don't like Toushinden Subaru, Toushinden URA and the Sega Saturn port of Toushinden 1. And, of course, there are variants such as Puzzle Arena Toushinden and Toushinden Card Quest.

It's a mixed bag with the "Battle Arena". Should the full title still be used even though the "Battle Arena" isn't present all the time?

And yes, the Saturn cover has the とうしんでん on it, so the romanization is correct. Yet the subtitle in some of the covers use the Toshinden spelling. If I don't use the proper romanization by mistake, it's become a long time habit for me to type Toshinden because of this.
