If the insertion and/or anal_insertion tags stick, perhaps we could just designate "novelty-tail insertions" as insertion_tail or anal_insertion_tail, then tag the non-tail portion separately? Either of the proposed might would get a bit dyslexic with "tail_insertion", though.

Yeah, that particular name is too confusing. The first time I read your post I didn't even realize this "insertion tail" tag you're suggesting had a different name from this "tail insertion" tag you mentioned, leaving me bewildered.
If we did want to combine them, we'd need a name like object_insertion_tail or anal_object_insertion_tail to make the meaning clear.
Personally, I think keeping them separate as butt_plug_tail/anal_beads_tail sounds better and is more intuitive.
