why was it unapproved? are the approvers lack any sense of humor?

We are very serious about humor and have a great deal of it, this is no laughing matter.
May I ask why these were unapproved?
Would like to ask about this image and why it was left unapproved.

I'd like to throw in my earlier question about these 2 as well (from an earlier post of about 10 days ago, which wasn't answered), as i'm still unsure why these weren't approved.

Are we allowed to repost our concerns and ask for feedback if they got ignored? Don't want to spam but I'm counting on y'all
Are you talking about forum #453783? A day is definitely way too soon.
Also, your post doesn't have a valid source. Where did you get it from? You should take care of that before anything else.
If possible, could an Approver please explain why these weren’t approved? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Valid source? Is the twitter link not enough?

@Starwave No, because that's not where the image came from. Your upload is a 5852x4284 PNG. The image on Twitter is a 4096x2999 JPG. Your post may have been approved, but you still need to add the correct source.
Edit: I don't know why I thought it got approved; the current appeal is still pending.

Ah.
It was rejected anyway, but there's a story behind it
I actually got the source directly from the artist since they're a friend. The whole situation was kind of unusual. My friend originally drew the artwork but wasn't completely happy with it. Before they could update it, someone else uploaded the original version to Danbooru, and it got rejected. Later, my friend revised the artwork, I uploaded the updated version myself, and that got rejected too.
They feel pretty bad about it. I'm here to find out why, essentially and help them out

I fixed your source. If you upload any more images given directly by your friend, you can just copy-paste the one I added. You can leave the commentary as-is.
I'm not an Approver so I can't actually approve it or say whether it's likely to be approved, but at least the source won't be an issue now. You can read help:image_source and the wiki for non-web_source for more information on sourcing in these kind of situations.

Thanks, you're a real one. Should I try appealing it again? That seems like a BAD idea. But if it's rejected for a specific reason I'd like to know so I csn tell him

You couldn't appeal the same post more than once even if you tried. Someone else already appealed it after you yesterday, so it will be in the modqueue for two more days before it gets deleted again.
If there is any specific reason, an Approver might be able to tell you, but keep in mind Approvers look at a large number of posts every day and may not have a specific reason for every post they pass over.
Hi Dear Mods of Danbooru

i checked every rules, i dont seem to break any of the rules

I wouldn't approve those, either.

Damn, that's frustrating. If he updates the art and I re-upload it, it'll be flagged by the system and go under the "parent" of the older uploads yeah? I feel like Appraisers might ignore it again if that's the case. Would it be best to give it a few months~a year and try again with improved art across the board?

That's for duplicates. If he updates it again and you post it, then you would make it the parent of the previous two posts instead since it's the latest revision. See help:post_relationships.
