A moped looks like post #6286448. They don't have a flat platform like a scooter does.

According to the wiki, the difference is supposed to be that a moped has bicycle pedals while a scooter doesn't. In art this is usually hard to see, so the difference is more like:

• scooter - step-through frame, flat platform for the feet, ride feet-forward in a sitting position
• moped - step-through frame, bicycle-like pedals for the feet, ride straddling like a motorcycle
• motorcycle - step-over frame, foot pegs instead of pedals, ride straddling
