Lightened/Darkened skin tags

btw does this apply to makeup like bronzer that changes the skin color like post #8054111 ?

I would say no because you can still visibly tell it's fake and it's only on her face. Dark tans are at least longer lasting but makeup like this can be washed off right away. Seems like a very niche thing though.

How about another tag for raceswap? This is for when artists change the racial features of characters, in addition to skin color. We can imply blacktober to it.
It could be separated into lighter->darker and darker->lighter, or it could be all-encomposing. This is differentiated from tan and it could be useful.

I don't think there's enough meaningfully different between this and the current option, which is more neutral and handles ambiguities without the subjectivity and tag wars I feel would likely arise from a tag like your suggestion.

Don't think that's necessary at all. Not only would this imo just be clutter at that point since I think the other tags we already have are enough (alternate skin color, dark skin, blacktober then also Raceswap) for a single aspect of a piece

But then it's also kinda subjective. Take Canari (Pokemon) |Canari]] for example. Some people think she's tanned, and some people think she's Brown, so if an artist is in the Tanned camp, they may draw her without one, and if an uploader believes she's actually Latin or light skinned, they'll put all those extra tags along with raceswap and that'll just have alot of confusion with some getting tagged and others not, and some people get real sensitive about stuff like that.

BUR #59758 is pending approval.

mass update id:10681532,11156120,9927338,8640042,8028425,7992990,3663245 -> alternate_skin_hue_(colored_to_colored)

In order, these posts change colors like this:

  • red -> blue
  • green -> red
  • blue -> yellow
  • aqua -> white/pink
  • orange -> pink
  • blue -> white
  • pink -> purple

Another problem with using the "monsterification" tag as an attempt to search for characters who don't usually have colored skin, but here they do: monsters can also have their skin changed

Any other name suggestions? The only one I can think of is "alternate_colored_skin_hue", but I'm worried it might also be used to change from human to colored (and if there were to be one tag for those two things, "alternate_skin_hue" would be a better tag name anyway).

The groups are:

An analogous tag name for "humanized_skin_color" could be "monsterized_skin_color," but I don't like that name. There are some posts where the only change is the skin color.
