Monster Energy is an energy drink
I don't think this would work. I haven't been able to find an example yet, but I could see a post with some reference to monster energy without an actual energy drink in the image, say a billboard or other diegetic ad for the brand. edit, found an example: post #11060440

Yeah it's the same with other like Red Bull and post #11002542, it has to be tagged manually.
Honestly I feel like the brand should be a copytag and the cans themselves should just be energy drink. Or we can make monster energy can for these drink posts but it seems unnecessary

Per howto:copyright, a tag needs to have official characters associated with it to qualify for the copyright category. There's a topic dedicated to converting unnecessary copyright tags to general tags (topic #33260). I'm not sure if monster energy has any associated characters.

I’ve read that before and I still disagree with it, so I mentioned it here. A major brand that regularly sponsors people, collaborates with games (Call of Duty, F1 racers, etc.) feels like it goes into copyright status. I don’t know how to explain it, but very popular brands with ties to anime and gaming feel more appropriate as copyrights vs. random high fashion brands.
But this is off topic and probably should be a convo on it’s own thread so I won’t discuss more here.

Another example in the form of Nissin Cup Noodle: nissin_cup_noodle -instant_noodles.
