Pearl isn't ambiguous

For context: the gem tags were originally qualified with stone, and they were then moved to *_(gemstone) in forum #153429 along with some that were not qualified (like pearl) for some strange desire for 'consistency'. But the rest of the gemstone tags ended up renamed to shit like red gem anyway so that doesn't apply any more.

Almost all of our jewel tags are qualified like diamond (gemstone), opal (gemstone), amber (gemstone), and aquamarine (gemstone).

Yeah, those are pretty questionable too. At least amber and aquamarine I recognize as potentially ambiguous with colors...

There are also more characters than just the Splatoon one like Pearl_(Steven Universe) and Pearl_(Honkai: Star Rail).

But again, character tags taking the name of common real-world objects shouldn't suddenly make that object ambiguous. If someone plays so much HSR that they forget actual pearls are a thing, that's on them, and not a good reason to qualify the tag for such a well-known thing.

Might be tempting fate, but I went ahead with the BUR for this reasoning.
