Tag script and removing implication

Posted under General

To remove a tag all implications must be also removed. This can get quite cumbersome if a tag has many implications. For example my current tag script for removing the breasts tag is:

-breasts -small_breasts -medium_breasts -large_breasts -gigantic_breasts -huge_breasts -cleavage -underboob -perky_breasts -sagging_breasts -breasts_out -sideboob -mole_on_breast -cum_on_breasts -hanging_breasts -grabbing_own_breast -between_breasts -strap_between_breasts -ascot_between_breasts -clothes_between_breasts -breasts_apart

A list that grows and grows. Do we have a syntax to remove breasts and all of it's implications?

Why would you remove breasts?

I saw you removed it from post #11102906. I'm not sure about male with breasts there since the "male" in the picture looks absolutely like a girl and we only have author's word on the matter, but medium_breasts still seems to apply anyway.

Do we not use pectorals and especially manboobs in this case?

The question is: Do we use breasts for male characters? It's a bit of a swamp of unsharp definitions...

If you don't know for sure or what you're doing could end up potentially controversial then you really need to be creating a forum post first to discuss what changes you're going to or want to make, or to get clarification or consensus about the stance you're putting forward. You shouldn't be unilaterally changing a huge amount of posts, some even wrongly, if you don't even know what you're doing. Like I don't know how you see post #408636 tagged with male with breasts and decide "breasts shouldn't apply".

Actually yes, wiki is a bit of mess on this subject.

In my opinion, if breasts look like female breasts, then it is breasts, regardless of whether they are on a girl, on a man or on a trap. This seems to be the way everyone tags it, too.

My undestanding:

There is also gynecomastia that looks like male_with_breasts trap and I honestly don't know the difference. Like, yes, it is a hormonal disorder, but I don't understand how to determine this for a fictional character unless author explicitly says that.

It is not clear what's the difference between manboobs and male_with_breasts. I expected manboobs to be for fatty pectorals of fat men and male_with_breasts for fetish or joke content, but apparently that's not the case, according to wiki.

It is not clearly stated on wiki that breasts is for female-looking breasts, but this rule is implied by tag male_with_breasts for male-looking characters with female breasts.

I also assume that male-looking breasts on female characters are tagged pectorals and that flat chest also includes male-looking-like-female characters unless it looks like pectorals. This would make sense.

And also I'm a bluename, so opinion of someone else is needed. And it's probably better to create a new topic about sorting out breast tags if anyone is interested in cleaning all this.

I missed the male_with_breasts tag. Which led to the confusion. I worked through earlier edits and corrected them accordingly. Of course i still removed the breasts tag when no breasts where shown, which applied for most of the edits.

...

After reading the wiki of male_with_breasts i came to the same conclusion. I also think this should be part of the breasts entry.

  • breasts female looking breasts
  • pectorals male chest muscles. Wiki excludes female characters.
  • manboobs basically just male body fat that forms something similar to breasts (overlaps with male with breasts)
  • flat_chest no breasts at all and only applies to females
  • gynecomastia seldom condition which must be derived from the context
