i think tattoo_machine_(laser) should be changed into tattoo lasering or something like that.
there is no such thing in real life as a machine that just kinds of beams a laser and you get a tattoo
in fact it could be just tentacles like post #4732911
so imo an inactive "tattoo machine (laser)" would look like a random machinery/device on the post. there could be countless tattoo machine (laser) untagged in corruption posts that nobody tagged because they weren't shooting lasers at people in that post specifically but in-universe they would have that capability. we have no way of knowing.
we also have tattoo machine which is for real life tattoo machines. you can tell what those look like.
i think people will want to search for
1. chars getting a tattoo from an artist
2. chars getting a tattoo from evil lasers
3. chars getting a tattoo in general
so it would be better to have an umbrella tag.
the problem is that the umbrella tag would be called getting a tattoo. and if we implied tattooing to getting a tattoo that would be confusing (also there is a weird possibility that a tattoo artist is using a tattoo machine to tattoo a wall or something inorganic so it would be tattooing but you probably wouldn't want to tag it getting a tattoo so one thing wouldn't imply the other). so i guess we could alias tattooing to getting a tattoo and if people want to search for tattoo artists they will either have to exclude laser tattoos or search for tattoo machine specifically.
