If you click on the button to add tags on Pixiv, the AI tag shows up with an X instead of a padlock, which means it was most likely not added by the author of the work.

Pixiv tags can be added by anyone. It doesnt mean that it's actually AI

it's entirely possible to paste an ai-generated foreground character on a 3d-traced or filtered background.
that said, some of the hair in this artist's posts does feel really strange to me in a non human way. But overall I'm just not sure.

To avoid any further confusion, I believe all of this artist’s uploads should be removed from Danbooru, as there is no guarantee that any of them are not traced.
This would make them AI-assisted which is allowed on our site, and they look redrawn instead of the other AI-assisted posts on the site where only human touches were made on an otherwise fully AI-generated image.

I took a look at his profile and while I didn't find any damning evidence, Kikyou's halo in this https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/132395165 (Sensitive) is completely inaccurate to its actual design. It wouldn't look like this from any angle or from any level of obscurity.

Moona's earring, pocket carrot, and eyes are all kinds of messed up. Same with Pekora's eyes (especially where her hair meets eye) and neck bow/shape in the middle

I just did so. Between their deleted posts here, and them adding the AI tag to their own post at pixiv #143214447, it's pretty clear they're a prompter.

I found some errors, These are all basic errors that humans are unlikely to make.
His artworks post until 2023 are bad. Then his quality increased. Why? AI.
This also explains why his art style can change at will.

At the very least they may be tracing, I've always felt like their lineart is not up to par with the shading. You could also compare the finished and unfinished drawings: post #9358529 and post #8551224
I still feel like something's off with this artist. While maybe the lining can be wonky i do feel like the rendering/shading is the weirdest part.
The lineart quality and rendering do not match, it feels like.
Having doubts about this and the "artist."

Style looks AI-like, hence the doubts.

I do agree on that. The example they have provided has a completely different style than what it currently is and the fact that someone else also had their suspicion about it to call them up on it.

They don't seem to be opposed to using AI. I've checked a bit of their gallery and i do see the gemini watermark on some of them.
I'd say it's AI Generated personally.
Edit : Well, this post.. i'm not sure if it's being wrongly translated but i think they're admitting it?

I believe it's more of making fun of people calling them using AI defined by "I've been using AI even before there was no AI"
