Nonsexual presenting?

Presenting, including all presenting_x tags are supposed to be only for sex invitation/presenting one's own or another's body in a sexual manner. The nonsexual alternatives proposed in the wiki are gift, giving or incoming gift.
I feel like that doesn't quite encompass the action of just showing something off to the viewer, such as in post #11217112, post #9977505, post #9395583, post #8538959, post #7997353 or post #8292264. Should a tag for that be called showing off or does someone have a better name? Should presenting be renamed to presenting_(sexual) or something since it currently feels almost a bit misleading?

Agreed it's annoying to not have something like displaying/showing especially as it should just be presenting

I guess a lot of these are 'outstretched arms' or 'holding' but can't really find them under a single tag

"Presenting" could also be confused as giving a presentation even without showing off anything in particular

and nonsexual presenting would technically include things like post #10630585 which is like sexual presenting but for nonsexual body parts

maybe presenting rating:general would work

If we need to rename presenting it should be something like presenting self or presenting own body to match presenting another. Qualifiers like presenting (sexual) are awkward and should be avoided. If anything it would be sexual presenting, but that's still ambiguous as presenting another and take your pick are also forms of sexual presentation.

i vote for presenting own body because presenting self feels like pointing at self

I had a similar thought a day or two ago. I'd been wondering whether there's a tag for a character holding up text for the viewer to read, and noted how odd it is to be sure from the start that if there is one it wouldn't be presenting_text due to presenting having the sexual connotation.

I am on board with presenting_own_body. Sounds more inherently sexual than presenting_self.

No, it's not a mistake. There's a post limit for the rename function (I think it's 200); this is how to get around that limit. I can't recall why the limit exists.

No, you wouldn't. When presenting gets moved to presenting own body, it carries over any implications the former had to the latter. So presenting ass would automatically imply presenting own body.

For less ambiguity and more consistency with other tags. There's a handful of cutesy nonsexual presenting another posts where an entire character is being presented ("look at my friend!", "look at my pet!", "are you seeing this shit?")

presenting another (rating:sensitive)

anything under will smith: tada (meme) really

This also makes it clearer you can combine presenting_own_body and presenting_another's_body with the existing tags like presenting_ass (as we don't need to rename these to presenting_own_ass and presenting_another's_ass).
