Imply techwear -> streetwear

They are visually distinct and putting them into an umbrella feels like tag pollution, if I'm using the streetwear tag then I'm looking for streetwear specifically and shouldn't have to include -techwear to find what I want.

That second one shouldn't be tagged techwear to begin with, and techwear influence is so currently entrenched in streetwear as a whole lately that trying to separate the two entirely would be counterproductive. Especially given that streetwear is already a broad catch-all tag.

That's kind of true for all fashion trends though. There's not a super clear line between emo fashion vs punk and goth fashion for example but I doubt anyone would want to merge them.

I rejected the BUR but this isn't a great argument given those aren't styles of each other. This is closer to something like fairy kei being a style of yume kawaii.

I still disagree with the replies, as people already tag techwear stuff as just streetwear from what I could see while gardening and the tag isn't used for any one streetwear style, but I can live with them being separate.
