So historically, AFAIK, the tag Saotome Ranma is for his male form, while Ranma-chan is for his female form. However, in practice, a lot of posts just have both tags added for his female form under the misconception that the former is an umbrella tag. My proposal is to mimic the case of characters like Sagimiya Ryou from Zenbu Kimi no Sei, who has tags for both genders because he flips back and forth between them, and an umbrella tag that covers both. Both Ranmas are the same character, after all; just a different body type and hair color. I also tossed in a rename for Ranma-chan for clarity and consistency, since there doesn't seem to be any official source for using it other than the fact "chan" is a diminutive typically used on girls (and that the tag is 17 years old).
