Colored Cloud Tag Nuke

Another day, another useless detail that is getting tagged with colors.

The alternative is always merging all these into "colored clouds", but I personally would rather just nuke them. The color of clouds is typically utterly minute, and one of them (black clouds) is a rehash of a utility alias for dark cloud.

If the BUR passes, the posts will have to be manually updated to have cloud tagged; there are colored clouds posts with no cloud tag. Mass updating isn't an option since there are posts there where I don't think cloud should apply.

Also, I'm not sure these are always a minute detail. With pink clouds for example, you have post #10229367, post #10248739, or post #9924589. Pink clouds have a large presence in the images there, and there might be some search value to it. However, I also agree with the logic of not over tagging every detail, so I won't vote against the nuke either.

I think sometimes these add visual search value.

These posts are already being tagged under, for example, red_sky cloudy_sky or black_sky cloudy_sky. I think having color tags specifically for clouds is overkill, especially when half of them are like post #9681379 where it's a gradient of different colors.

Maybe colorful clouds or colorful cloudy sky or colored clouds? It makes sense as an overall concept to search for.

Maybe we could merge them into colored clouds as one of my alternate proposals? Alternatively, you could have contrast clouds for things like post post #968137.

If we need a specific tag for the concept, I don't hate colorful cloudy sky either.

I didn't notice NNT's post until earlier today; I went ahead and made a favgroup for the colorful clouds concept. I avoided adding posts where the clouds weren't in the sky (ex: post #9757733), could be covered with other tags (for example, monochromatic skies [ex: post #8319159]), where the clouds weren't particularly colorful, or formed a minor part of the image. I wasn't sure how to define "too minor" for inclusion, so I added some posts for the sake of completeness. Let me know if there's any posts which shouldn't be included in the new tag and I can trim them from the favgroup.

These seem like logical implications. I had a tough time thinking of a wiki description and I'm not sure if the one I wrote is good enough.

I just realized we also have multicolored sky and gradient sky. What's the relationship here? Do we want to just merge multicolored sky and colorful cloudy sky together and say you can use cloudy sky to filter for clouds?

I'm not sure. multicolored_sky cloudy_sky has posts like post #7454101, post #8844453, or post #10596626, which don't quite match colorful cloudy sky. I may just be splitting hairs though.

BURing to see what people think of what NNT said above. mass update is to make sure colorful cloudy sky is tagged with cloud before the alias. Used cloud instead of cloudy sky because of cases that may not match the wiki's definition of cloudy sky.

multicolored_sky is for when the totality of the sky is in multiple colors. colorful cloudy sky could be the sky of a single color and the clouds of another single color.

Let's just swap the name of the tag for now and see if it works out in the long term.
