I agree with Knowledge Seeker’s BUR from the linked topic. I don’t think we need these tandem tags.

I have to agree with GreyOmega, it makes no sense that we have things like frilled bow but we're not supposed to have butterfly print sash. By this logic we'd have to get rid of cow print bikini too.

print kimono is the more common version anyway, we're having an extra padding tag for no reason and using it as an excuse to not make more specific, actually useful tags. It would be far more useful to have a printless kimono. Just look at kimono -print_kimono and try to find them consistently.
I assume the only reason we didn't do this before was because of saigyouji_yuyuko kimono, and even then that search sometimes shows floral print kimonos.
