Correcting Official Name for Ursula Callistis

Posted under Tags

BUR #56630 has been rejected.

remove alias ursula_callistis -> ursula_charistes
remove alias ursula_(little_witch_academia) -> ursula_charistes
create alias ursula_charistes -> ursula_callistis
create alias ursula_(little_witch_academia) -> ursula_callistis

The current tag structure is based on a phonetic mistranscription of the Japanese katakana (アーシュラ・カリスティス). Ursula Callistis is the canonical romanization established by Studio Trigger in all official Little Witch Academia materials, artbooks, and credits.

The name derives from the Greek Kallisti (καλλίστη), "the most beautiful."

This request corrects the hierarchy by:

Removing the incorrect alias from the official name to the phonetic one.

Redirecting the descriptive tag ursula_(little_witch_academia) to the official name.

Establishing the phonetic version ursula_charistes as an alias of the official name.

BUR #56651 has been approved by @nonamethanks.

create alias ursula_charistes -> ursula_callistis

As above, though I would say instead of "isn't technically necessary" that it shouldn't be done. This is a tag that's existed for 9 years so the old name should linger as an alias for findability.

Thanks for the clarification, everyone. I didn't realize the system handled the alias reversal automatically. Since BUR #56651 covers the official name correction (Ursula_Callistis) in a cleaner way, please proceed with that one. I appreciate the help!

What I meant to say is that unaliasing and then realiasing is unnecessary.

Yeah, you're right there. For future reference Mars, when you alias, it tells the left side of the arrow to become an alias for the right side. If there are any other existing aliases and/or implications, they'll be retained when the tag is moved. It's neat stuff, let's you do big changes without having to handle any complicated extra steps except where you definitely need to add more steps for completeness.

Thanks for the tip, WRS! I'm used to managing my local tags with Hydrus Network, where everything is strictly n->1 and you often have to manually dismantle and rebuild aliases or implications to change directions. Good to know the system here handles the reversal automatically. Cheers!
