Byleth Eisner

Alright, let's give this a try, Byleth has a surname that they inherited from their father, which is Eisner. If the full name is used, this will make everything consistent with other character names in the game and people will be able to type less characters to search them.

create alias sitri_(fire_emblem) -> sitri_eisner

Since Sitri is Byleth's mother, I think her surname by marriage needs to be added too.

Since both of their last names are confirmed in game as Eisner, that seems like a pretty clear confirmation that Byleth's last name is Eisner too.

On one of the official website, Byleth's father full name is Jeralt Reus Eisner. However, while we can assume that Byleth's last name is Eisner, the official site never stated a last name for Byleth. To be truthful, I do not believe the company ever officially refered to Byleth as Byleth Eisner, it's more of a fan initiative based on logic that both parents last names are Eisner. I do believe the aliases have merit, but unless we have proof from either an official game or from the company itself, we shouldn't consider it "official".

For Sitri, we have proof from the game itself and I do believe the alias would make it easier for people to find her considering the Fire Emblem franchise has tons of characters.

How do we feel about this: if we can't officially confirm that Byleth's last name is Eisner, and we must assume his/her name is simply "Byleth" as far as we can tell, how about we just remove the _(fire_emblem) qualifier completely? I had a look around, and there don't seem to be any other characters in any media called "Byleth", unless you're looking at obscure demonology textbooks from the 1500s (and even in those it's a non-standard spelling of Beleth).

Since there are no other characters called Byleth I can see, and certainly none with art on this site, I do not think the name can be considered ambiguous or generic, and there is no other tag byleth_(male) or byleth_(female) could be confused for. Maybe we feel this is one of those "not limited to" cases, but let's find out by voting on it.

The qualifier stays. All of the wider franchise's single-name characters have qualifiers, and Byleth being the only exception would be confusing and arbitrary to anyone reading the tag list. See forum #185636.
