The characters will probably release soon in the main JP server, do we really need these tentative names for these tags?

"Soon" is a case of YMMV.
Daring Tact's first art on danbo was July 2022 (post #5525307), while Almond Eye had hers February 2025 (post #8896522). Between the two of them, the latter had a shorter wait time from reveal to playable status. Imagine having to wait a long while before making a tag of her racing outfit and messing up the search for others who want to see Daring Tact in her racing attire.
Of course, that's not always the case, but the bottom line is that since we don't know when they'll even be trainable, it wouldn't hurt to have placeholder tags for them while we wait, then we alias them to what would become their actual chartags (and then we'll alias them to the proper EN names once we get there). There's precedent for it: The Herta and Elation SW from HSR come to mind.
