I also had my reservations about this one too when making the bur. I think I found some examples at the time where neither tag would fit but I can't seem to find them now. I can garden the pool down and see if there is anything.

Make sure to add copyright: to the front of the tag name, otherwise it will just end up a regular old gentag.
As for the actual fanwork, I don't know anything either.

As I am in a pool clean up mood, what of pool #4603? This pool is supposed to be for very detailed commentaries that reveal a lot about the artwork in question. While I think that's a good idea, how do we want to execute it? Pretty sure it has to be a meta tag at least. What of the scope? I believe it's supposed to be "the commentary tells a story in and of itself", but I'd like a second opinion or two before doing anything.

I think some of the posts in that pool can go under story in commentary. Though the tag seems to have a slightly broader definition.

Yeah definitely. Something to think about, because if the pool can be replaced by existing tags, it should be gardened and nuked.

Here's my current idea of a proposal, as the idea seems to be that commentary be long, and there are situations like post #9891707 which can't fall under story in commentary, but still needs some kind of tag for this. What do y'all think?

Just now I attempted to add a post to Fancy Notes, only to find that it had ceased to exist.
Over the past year I couldn't help but notice as one after another, pools which I occasionally browse kept vanishing. I assumed that was just the direction the site was going and there wasn't anything I could do about it.

You can disagree very strongly with it, but that won't change the direction we're headed in. Even before evazion made the comments he did which inspired these pool conversions, he had publicly expressed his distain for collection pools conceptually and how they should just be tags instead. It's just now that the winds have allowed for action to be taken against them, complete with a brand new BUR command to make it easier than ever to convert them to tag.
I mean, I also don't really see the issue, especially in this specific case. Sure there's been a few tags where it the move was less than clean when the concept didn't really fit into a tag, but those are comapratively rare. Was there a specific problem you found with how fancy embedded notes was handled? Because in most cases, these conversions are just semantics.
Is "Food Atrocities" pool #20260 (which way too often is just unfunny italian ragebait) tag worthy?
