Proper way to tag chinese text

Should Japanese text which only contains kanji be tagged as chinese text? I've seen it in a few examples, but the most recent I found was post #10531697. Is it a mistagging or is it correct?

Chinese text is for text written in Chinese, not for kanji-only Japanese. The post you linked is mistagged.
