Well yeah, there's no reason for it to be a rename when these are established tags that people are likely already searching for or have in their blacklists. Same goes with being linked in wikis.

As promised, here's the bur of what I proposed
Personal tastes aside, since I love the old names more, I think they need to be aliased towards their actual new, official names, not the inverse even if it's a little more work.
My reasoning is simply that we shouldn't keep names that are "obsolete" to call them something. Those names are just not a thing anymore, and though aliasing works mechanically, why keep names that aren't really the actual character ones?

Except, they are a thing, especially in Korean and the original dub (China), and possibly in the Japanese dub anymore so they are not "obsolete" as you say they are

Chinatsu is the only one that remains Chinatsu in JP and Chinese (And just the Chinatsu part, not the Remiel one). And she is Sunna in Korean.

Not to say that their shorts show their ENGLISH NEW NAMES in the background in every version. So yeah, at least in Aria case, her old names are obsolete.

Actually asked this before on Discord if we should make the tag as "aria_(robot)" but it's pretty easy to find if you just search "aria (ZZZ) + robot girl"
