Because there’s no implication from the colored tags to the base tag. Edit, nevermind, all the posts tagged with the colored tag are tagged with collar tabs, so a nuke would work.
For the record, this is still considered nuking. Nuking is about emptying a post of its tags, and this is one way to do it as well as the most preferable if a replacement tag needs to be added. Deprecation also has the eventual goal of nuking by removing the tag from posts and replacing it with a better fitting tag when simply mass updating it out doesn't work. The nuke keyword empties the tag out without replacing it with anything. Altogether are still (eventual) nukes.

People really shouldn't be allowed to edit BURs after they've been voted on enough times. The person who made this topic especially does this a lot.

I think it's a planned feature to disable editing after a certain amount of votes or something.
