Densetsu.EXE Tag

Posted under Tags

I briefly discussed this on the Discord but wanted to talk about it here too. The Densetsu.EXE tag refers to an idol group consisting of indie virtual youtubers Mint Fantome, Phoebe-chan and Victoria Roman, but should it be the main copyright tag instead of Indie Virtual Youtuber for any art of the three aforementioned vtubers even solo art?
If Indie Virtual Youtuber is used as the main copyright tag, Densetsu.EXE could be changed to a general tag and only used when all three are depicted together as those searching for the tag probably would want to see all three together similar to how tags like umisea work.

Densetsu.EXE is owned by Setsuna Pro, so it is essential a copytag, and to add onto this, it's like when VShojo started when it was just a few members (I believe ProjektMelody, Ironmouse, Zentreya, Silvervale & Vei)

For context, I was the one who Bern discussed this with on the Discord. The conversation ultimately ended because we didn't reach an agreement on what Densetsu.EXE is. Is Densetsu.EXE a formal group produced and operated by a specific company, or is it an informal group where it's just three indies coming together to be idols?

If it's the latter, then it would make more sense for their group to be a general tag, because there would likely be little branding associated with them. Leveraging the example of UMISEA, despite being a real Hololive unit, there's no unique brand to it in the same way that something like Hololive DEV IS does. One could beg the question how this relates to something like VchiBan, or even Vinesauce and Jerma985, but copyright tagging for content creators in general is... unresolved.

If it's the former however, then it should be a copyright tag and serve as the copytags for the three girls from its establishment onward, because now you've got something akin to Hololive or even AKB48, that's the main thing those girls are associated with now and there could even be Densetsu.EXE posts on Danbooru without any of the three girls in it. The fact that they were indie previously would not matter at that point, because even idols in idol groups like AKB48 can just leave and start solo careers, forcing us to start tagging them as real life instead (and this isn't even talking about how often people forget to use that tag when tagging real people).
