I was working on the wiki for sitting, and looking through related tags in use. I noticed these tags are pretty much a mess and could stand to have some cleanup, aliasing, implication done.
I have some suggestions below for debate/implementation. I've included some low-count / new tags where they appeared in the tag list or wiki and make sense as something someone might logically try. Some of these were mentioned/debated in forum #36355.
We have two conventions in place at the moment for these tags *_sitting and sitting_on_*, with tags with fairly large usage in each. We might want to consider standardizing these. The latter looks better to me, the former is much more common. I've included whichever was in use below.
Alias (→) and implication (>) suggestions for this domain:
- sit → sitting
- sitting_down → sitting
- sitting_on moved to sitting_on_person > sitting (sitting_on is too ambiguous a tag for the concept it is used for, it ought to be moved without alias)
- facesitting → face_sitting > sitting_on_person
- head_sitting > sitting_on_person
- lap_sitting > sitting_on_person
- sitting_backwards > sitting
- sitting_on_knees → seiza > sitting
- w-sitting → wariza > sitting
- crossed_legs > sitting (actually this could use additional work, as sitting with crossed legs on the floor and in a chair are visually distinct. Maybe agura → indian_style > sitting. Anyone know if we have any instances of standing with crossed_legs? That would be another potential issue, and another visually distinct pose.
- sitting_on_object > sitting
- pantyshot_sitting > sitting
- tree_sitting > sitting
