I was going to say "don't we usually avoid implicating copyright-specific tags to general tags?" and then noticed Var (Senjou no Valkyria) is implicated, though that's probably one of the few exceptions if anything. Sword is also pretty general besides Minecraft Sword.

I think that implication should be removed there are plenty of instances where a copyright specific weapon isn't functioning as a weapon. post #4400688, post #3129665, post #3157790, and post #1942833 are some Master Sword and Keyblade examples.
Key questions:
Is the dream nail (hollow knight) a nail (hollow knight)? It's certainly called one and certainly resembles one.
If so, is it a weapon? Not really, I think.
On the list of copyright weapons that imply weapon tags bolter is also implied directly to weapon. This was added in forum #89669 in some giant ancient BUR. forum #109010 is var (weapon).
I don't really think this should become a thing because...

remove implication var_(senjou_no_valkyria) -> weapon
Implying copyright-specific tags to general tags should be avoided. For more information, this tag was implied in topic #12199 10 years ago without any discussion. There's no reason for it to stay.

It literally is called a weapon on its wiki page

And also, I think you’re on the wrong form. This is for Hollow knight.

It's definitely on topic to discuss copyright-specific implications to the weapon tag in the thread made with a BUR doing that.
I would note there are literally hundreds of tags that would need to have implications to weapon (or tags that imply weapon, in some way) if we want to be maximalist about this.

Which is not a valid argument to imply copyright-specific tags to general tags.

This tag was mentioned above as a parallel. It's okay to attach additional BURs for similar tags from other copyrights to the same thread, as long as it's not something complex requiring more elaborate discussions.

Even if the initial BUR doesn’t succeed, we can at least do implications for the nail variants, correct? Can’t imply channeled_nail_(hollow_knight) -> nail_(hollow_knight) because that tag has less than 10 posts, but the rest can be done.

(Fair warning, possible HK spoilers)
Currently the wiki for Shade (Hollow Knight) is written from the point of view that it refers exclusively to what the Knight leaves behind when it "dies". As a consequence, the Shade is singular and distinct from the Knight, which is also singular and exclusively refers to the unbroken mask version. It also means Siblings are not Shades.
There is a significant number of posts which do not adhere to the wiki and the above scheme. Instead, Shade is taken to refer to a class of entity, and a given picture will be tagged Shade even if the Knight's Shade isn't in it (post #9935003). And if it's clear that a picture specifically shows the Knight's shade, it is denoted by being tagged both Knight and Shade (post #9934347), or sometimes only Knight (post #10082572).
This seems possibly a better way to tag. The fact is that the Shade and Siblings are fundamentally the same kind of thing, and the Knight and his Shade are fundamentally the same entity. The Shade and Siblings can only reliably differentiated based on their horns, which are not always drawn clearly.
I discovered this issue when I started populating the tag Sibling (Hollow Knight), whereupon I reverted my changes. If we keep the wiki as is, such a tag is probably merited. Otherwise it would be redundant with Shade.
In short: either the tags Knight (Hollow Knight) and Shade (Hollow Knight) are in need of gardening or the wiki for Shade (Hollow Knight) is in need of a rewrite.
