Yes, that is unfortunately the best we can come up with. If you read the thread, you would see that we struggled to come up with anything better because there is no official name used. Wikipedia literally just goes "Undertale and Deltarune", and also links to both in its UTDR disambiguation page.

Believe me, if I had any better ideas, I would've floated them by now. Doesn't help my priority right now is getting an umbrella tag made (considering we got a few tagging issues right now held back on resolving by the missing umbrella), and I'll take anything people actually use by this point.

It’s not a great name, but it really is what the majority of the community calls the franchise because we can’t think of anything better and there’s not any official name besides just "Undertale and Deltarune"

So what's the situation with Mike? I haven't dealt with his fight in the game yet but from what I'm aware of he is made up of three different types of darkners and a Pippins is disguised as the form with a ball head? Should he get his own set of tags (Mike, Cat_Mike, etc.)?

Pretty much, but they are actually impersonators, and they don't know who the real Mike is or if he even exists. For that reason I don't think "Mike (Deltarune)" should be a tag, they should definitely get their own separate tags- The official names are Small Mike, Cat Mike, and Cowboy Hat Mike.

There's also the fact that Small Mike is a green Pippins, setting him apart from the rest of the Pippins (Cat/Cowboy Mike look like a regular Shadowguy/Zapper out of disguise). So I wonder if Green Pippins should get a tag too.

I do honestly think the only reason forum #363234 failed was because it was submitted during a period of low BUR approval. Anyways here's Dark Ylimegirl with a counter-proposal to maybe make that one approved. Logic for this one is basically the same as how we handle DC Comics and artists/albums as umbrella tags; Toby Fox doesn't have a production company though so we'll have to move the artist tag out of the way first. Can't imply the copytags yet because even with those first two lines to change the category danbooru is giving me an error for cross-category implications.

Yeah, I assume low BUR approval rates are why my BUR was rejected, though it was admittedly a pretty mixed reception ngl, which could've made it be passed up.

From what I'm gathering, this is a problem everyone can agree on, but no one can figure out a satisfying solution to the problem. This proposal would be one I'd be annoyed to see as the final solution, but eh, it's a solution at least. Not like we can't change it later if something happens.
