should we do something with change_in_common_sense

Posted under Tags

it's supposed to be a hypnosis related tag but maybe like half of it has anything to do with that, and the other half is just stuff in a setting that has any change from our irl common sense, without any hypnosis. i know the latter use is how it's used on pixiv, which is why it's getting used like that here so often too.
so i was just wondering if there should be some kind of change to the tag. maybe change the wiki definition to the broader one instead of hypnosis only? or we can just clean up all the non-hypnosis pictures. maybe even deprecate it, idk.
what do you all think?

maybe someone more familiar with this can chime in but i don't see why mind control should be a prerequisite to this tag. a character can have a change in common sense without any hypnosis being featured, at least not explicitly. i'd be in support of rewriting the wiki to expand the scope.

I always thought the idea of the tag was meant for situations without mind control, i.e. a place where girls go to school naked and that's entirely normal. Hence why it's a "change in common sense" rather than a tag more specific to mind control.

You’re thinking of zenra. The change in common sense wiki suggests that it would apply to a situation in which the girls go to school naked in a setting that doesn’t consider it normal.

Agreed.

zenra is actually another tag that doesn't get used correctly, not as much as change_in_common_sense, but since it actually just means "naked" and gets applied to tons of images on pixiv with full nudity, it'll still end up on random stuff here that it doesn't really fit the danbooru definition. that can probably just get fixed with a bit of cleanup though.
to be honest i dont really get why the word zenra was chosen for those types of scenarios at all and i would rather have it be called something else, though i'm not sure what. a rename would at the very least help prevent mistagging. but that's kinda getting off topic lol. or maybe not, since change_in_common_sense and zenra often go together

That, and the girls look at you like YOU'RE the weird one for noticing (post #9123998, post #9046875).

Best way I can describe zenra is societal-wide nudism. Not everyone has to participate, but it should be seen as normal. If it's more localized, like a single person or a family at home, then it ought to be nudist instead.

If you can think of a better tag name then do so, but so far Japan's the only one really doing the "everyday activities but naked" genre of pornography.
