It's very easy to get any post ID with post-notice search. For example, coolio favourited post #1521834 (Explicit) (though, it works with literally any post, it works with post #1), now we add "?q=loli+fav%3Acoolio" (generated by search of loli fav:coolio for post-notice search) to the link (to make it look like danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1521834?q=loli+fav%3Acoolio) and here we go, every user can see gold posts (still no images for blue users) just by pressing "next" and "prev". Blue users can see links, tags, copyrights, pixel hashes, etc. Since some sites copy danbooru posts (looking at gelbooru with their danbooru bot) it becomes pretty easy to find almost everything. Plus, that way you can get takedown posts. For example, post #9465758 (Questionable, banned artist, but active), we add "?q=ikemeru19" to the link and go next. We get to the post that was taken down (but blue, gold and platinum users still can't even see tags), now just preview it as dtext like post #9192404 and if you just hover the post (tooltips must be enabled) there's a source link and tags (still no images). And while the interface for post-notice search disappears you can still navigate through active posts, like you can take next available post #9192402, add the same "?q=ikemeru19" to the link and you'll get post #9138226 (Q).

Unfortunately the source of the particular image I'd like is no longer functional. Although I am able to access the image post, like others have said I am still not allowed to view the actual image.

Danbooru doesn't own the images, we don't have the right to dictate what people do with them. Obviously there's the potential for bad actors (these images are hidden for a reason) but unless it's determined that the images were being shared for some bad faith reason that could harm the site, there's no rules dictating how people use the images archived here.

I see, thank you. Well if anyone could DM me the image from post #219500 (At least I think this is the one I'm looking for, can't be sure as I haven't seen it in over a decade) I would really appreciate it. If it's a harmful image then you don't have to and I understand.

i mean, it IS on gelbooru, as Gardares said, they have a bot that reuploads danbooru posts. you should look there as it took me no less than 2 minutes to find the post you're talking about (just search the artist name)

@coolio Go to Gelbooru. Select the option to show all content in the account settings (you don’t actually need an account to do this). Search for “itou_life izumi_konata”. You’ll find what you’re looking for right away.

It's really bizarre how much a small handful of corporations has such large control over censorship of perfectly legal goods and services.

That's exactly what they've done to our community. DLSite&Fantia has stopped accepting VISA/MASTERCARD since last year. Pixiv&Fanbox tightened their restrictions on lolicon and guro artworks, while charging adult content creators more "due to the rising cost of censorship". Even the Telegram, who just started to censor their contents and shut down thousands of channels and groups months ago, is said to be under the pressure of those payment processors.

It's just completely absurd how the owner of this site is refusing to find ways to bring this back, when so many are willing to pay (me included, heck this was the only reason I made my account), as demonstrated by this thread being 57 pages long as I’m typing this.

He doesn't like money I guess, its been discussed quite a bit, but it's clear he doesn't worry about financially maintaining this site. Or rather, anything that isn't as easy as a credit card payment isn't worth his time.

Theres nothing he can do. Payment processors have gone nuclear on most adult media, he cant convince visa or mastercard to service him period.

The other options are sanctions evading processors like boosty.to that obfuscate the payments (high risk), crypto (he hasnt shown any inclination), or taking cash payments through mail (huge headache).

I legitmately just dont see payments on here coming back, cause theres no alternatives that are worth it.
