Tag Alias: darkness -> dark

Aliasing darkness -> dark.

Reason: The wiki entry for dark indicates that it is to be used in the sense of darkness.

Then don't you want the alias in the other direction?

darkness sounds a little better as the tag but either works. What do others think?

dark's wiki gives it as an adjective, a lighting condition, whereas "darkness" seems more like a psuedo-tangible thing, such as a ball of darkness or a creature made of darkness (like the Heartless, but less spacially defined).

T5J8F8's distinction would be useful, even though darkness as 'tangible darkness' doesn't seem intuitive to me. If no one can think of a better word I think we should adopt this meaning and change the wiki entries accordingly.

I like darkness better I think. Is there any reason tagging spatially or object-oriented darkness shouldn't be kosher? I think if it's significant enough to warrant a tag, it fits fine with generally dark images.

In the end I think I actually like dark better now as it sounds much simpler. "This image is dark" comes to mind much readily for me than "There is darkness in this image".

That doesn't mean darkness as a "pseudo-tangible thing" can't be distinguished, but I don't know that it can be distinguished easily and often enough to warrant a separate tag.

Either way, I don't feel strongly to one or the other.
