create alias washing_car -> car_wash

create alias washing_car -> car_wash

Because typing washing_ and not seeing that tag in the autocomplete means it'll be missed. No the tag is not just for the place but the action too.
All our other tags start with washing_ so this helps makes it more consistent and helps discoverability.

This tag shouldn’t be pulling double duty, it needs to be split into either washing car and car wash or car wash (action) and car wash (place). I vote for the former, because I always hear “car wash” for the place and never hear “car wash” for the action.

+1 for car_wash_(place). For the action what about washing_vehicle since a non-insignificant amount of art in the tag right now is girls washing tanks post #2436451 or other non-car vehicles post #907753

Sure I don't mind as long as we get a solution. I agree with washing vehicle, but it should have the most common vehicles aliased to it like car and tank.

Would a car wash fundraiser (ex: post #5696282) be eligible for car_wash_(place)? While it is improvised, it is still officially a place where one takes their car and have it washed for money. They are a common event in the US.

Now that we settled on the tag name for the place, would washing vehicle be acceptable for just the act? We could alias car and tank to it. Or should it be named washing car and still include other vehicles?

I don't hate washing_car encompassing the others as long as their are a aliases. Prefer washing_vehicle though.

It should be washing vehicle unless we want separate tags for washing tank etc.

I went ahead and flushed out washing vehicle and updated the wikis. We still have a few cases of the car wash facility, but not many. Not sure if it still merits an alias to car wash (place) or similar, or not.

Does washing vehicle only count for vehicles in the middle of being washed or can it also include images just before or after washing the vehicle, like post #2727476 and post #6017851 where all the equipment is present and it's clear that they either just finished or just started the process of washing their car.
