I have anxiety and don’t just want to make 24 new tags without making a forum post. In the game Yume Nikki, there are 24 different effects Madotsuki can use to alter her appearance. I’m suggesting there should be a tag created for every effect, so one can sort through her costumes. It’d be how vtuber outfits are designated like madotsuki (witch) . If anyone wants to help me rake thru every madotsuki image that’d be nice!
Could you list your proposed tag names here (maybe with descriptions and/or examples), so people can be sure to agree on common tag names and know what to look for?
Having not played the game, and looking at the query "Yume_Nikki Madotsuki", I'm not immediately seeing 24 ways to split the posts visually (she looks pretty uniform throughout), but perhaps I'm not sure what to look for. Remember, being visually apparent is important for tags.
The effects are listed on the game's wiki with images for ease of reference. I think many of them certainly make sense as alternate designs, but there are a few that are basically items.
I can see a case for some of them, but it doesn't make sense to have dedicated character tags when it's literally just Madotsuki's standard appearance, but holding a knife or umbrella as with these tags you seem to have already created:
madotsuki_(umbrella)
madotsuki_(kitchen_knife)
I can see others showing up in the autocomplete too
Yeah, when it's literally just the identical character but holding a knife, having a chartag for it is pointless. And the fact that a majority of them are single-image tags for a single image featuring every single one makes me think this was not properly thought out.
I'd rather see post #6286182 be tagged out rather than slapped with more chartags (most of them single image) than gentags.
