Would it be possible to automate the replacement of Instagram samples using the instantgram bookmarklet? It seems like you have to be logged in to Instagram to get the fullres images using this bookmarklet, but hopefully that wouldn't preclude using it to automatically replace image samples.

@Talulah idk I guess I expected it to be able to resolve the original Tweet URL from the CDN image url oh well
I guess if that link expires later then we'll know it was from the deleted Tweet (assuming not instant)
but is it better to have the worse source without a bad link
I know a guy that might have the metadata and Tweet URL that will send it later
same md5 on both images though

I could see some changes in line thickness but I'd assumed this was a side effect of how images are downscaled by googleusercontent/ggpht since the current md5-matching direct source link is https://yt3.ggpht.com/bvWHvbVJ4m930uyTH78Q9AMrIyFtvzPukRdBRxSQVVPHkLrfzbiwEWwzp9EeTnPq12ibUNmW7g4-5g=s1024-nd-v1, which is the same as the proposed replacement URL but with d instead of s1024-nd-v1. Similar differences can be seen when the full image is uploaded to Google Drive (full size, s1024 sample).
Similar case, semi-transparent edges from the full image appearing darker in the sample:

It is not apparent to me that that link is a first party source, and an image like that isn't worth worrying about anyway.
