Dropping this here since we got Suou Sango's name corrected as per official Nijisanji romanization, might as well include her gen-mates Toudou Kohaku and Kitakouji Hisui since they still have the long vowels indicated when official Niji romanization doesn't identify the long vowels. Case in point: Todo Kohaku and Kitakoji Hisui's respective Twitter accounts.
The official lack of indication for long vowels is also why we don't name Yugo Asuma as Yuugo Asuma, nor Shu Yamino as Shuu Yamino.

To be honest, I think it's time we formally retire the tags we aliased to their current chartags on the grounds that vtuber fans already know how to spell their oshis (or are expected to know how to spell them at this point). The original tags are only there at this point as a holdover of the time we used the "default" romanization with long vowels before the official romanizations were released without long vowels. Case in point: we have tagged newer talents according to their prevailing official romanizations (e.g. Fura Kanato = Fuura Kanato, Meloco Kyoran = Meloco Kyouran, etc.).
We can just probably rename the chartags to eliminate possible long vowels, or in the case of others with more than 200 posts, alias them first to move the posts before we can unalias-deprecate-nuke the original chartags.
So, what I propose to do, with this BUR, is to nuke the original chartags (plus one general group tag, nobody even types "Eden" to search for Eden-gumi), but not before unaliasing them first, unless the tags have to be deprecated as well to prevent the OG chartags using the long-vowel forms from being repopulated, in which case I'll save the trouble and include it in the BUR anyway. After this, I'll probably bring up some chartags and general vtuber group tags that would need to be updated.
P.S. Maybe I should have done this at topic #22844 but I guess here works too.
As someone who's not a vtuber fan but someone who casually uploads pictures of them sometimes because I like the designs, I'm against this. I don't want to have to guess which spelling is used for the character tag when uploading. The existing aliases aren't incorrect either even if they aren't officially used by the company, so I don't see what's the issue in keeping them.
