The Sledgehammer is a type of hammer, and the mallet is similar enough that there might be some confusion between the two. It doesn't help that the mallet's wiki is very vague on its definition.

-1 to the mallet implication. If you aren't counting all the mochi mallets, most of the posts with that tag look more like decorative/toy mallets similar in design to the miracle mallet. If I'm searching for hammer, it's because I want to see actual tools, not stuff like post #3846307.

Note that piko piko hammer doesn't implicate hammer either. Just because something vaguely resembles a hammer doesn't mean it is a hammer.

I don't see any obvious problems with the sledgehammer implication.

There was a discussion (not really) in topic #17214 few months ago. Hammer_(tool) might solve the issue.

I'll do sledgehammer. Currently most mallet posts aren't tagged hammer, which implies that most people don't think of mallets as a type of hammer.
