Removing Panties tag

Is the removing panties tag really needed? I've seen it used on posts both instead of and combined with panty pull/panties around one leg, even on posts where no hands are even close to the panties so there is no removing going on.

I feel like the tags pulled by self, pulled by another and/or undressing could cover everything this tag would be used on. At the very least, they shouldn't be used instead of existing tags.

I've not removed them from any posts yet, except for one that didn't even have any panties in it, as I wanted to make sure before doing anything.

I have to agree and luckily the amount of posts is less than a hundred. I think we could add a wiki that simply encourages the use of other tags and retag all these images appropriately.

It seems to me like this tag violates a core principle of Danbooru by tagging what you know rather than what you see so I'd agree the tag is not needed.

+1 Concur with most of the above, with the exception of creating a wiki. Not sure we want to set the precedent on creating wikis for every failed tagging concept.

Spent a few minutes crawling through removing_panties and didn't see any examples that couldn't be handled by better-established tags, so +1 to eliminating it. Not a big fan of the other removing_* tags that spawned in its wake either.

Alright, since I got 3 for it I went through and removed/replaced the tag on all posts. I admit I may have not used pulled by self, pulled by another and undressing as much as I should in the past but I'll try to get better at it.

As for the rest of those removing_* tags I guess someone else will have to bring those up/go through them.

With that said I'm gonna keep an eye on this tag for a few weeks just in case someone starts adding it to posts again.
