Northern Ocean Hime is her official name, but she's generally better referred to (and known) by her colloquial name, hoppou.

She's by far the most popular Abyssal in the game, with almost a third of all abyssal art featuring her, Shinkaisei-kan having 16k hits, of which 4.9k are of her.

The wiki also already references her being tagged as Hoppou on pixiv (link), so I was thinking an alias might aid people in searching for her

I don't think this is necessary. Her nickname is not under Missed Searches and most of those who know the character already have the sense to search the boorus by her actual name.

No it isn't.

I support the idea of the alias, except it should be Hoppo with a short o.

As tapnek said, it doesn't seem to be an issue given the evidence.
