Concept is the same, although 'object' is just the noun referring to the item deliberately parodying a penis, while 'symbol' refers to the whole representation of an object or idea. 'Symbol' would also encompass things that go along with phallic imagery such as cum, paizuri, fellatio, clever censorship and so on.
Having made the difference between the two, should I request a phallic_symbol -> sexually_suggestive implication as well?
