Crazy how wrs sent a message to me dissing me for uploading with no tags but here are contributors doing the very same thing.
First off It was only like that for less than 3 mins it only took that long because safari lost connection to the site while I was in the middle of tagging. And the tags were quite in depth too, only for safari to drop the connection to the site and not save any of my tags. It was unexpected not intentional. And when such things happen out of my control I still try to go back and add as many tags as I can. Being a contributor doesn’t mean we are perfect. We are susceptible to mistakes or mishaps too.

Doesn’t change uploaded with no tags? You can’t loose connection then post it. You just straight uploaded with no tags it’s not that deep when you add it right after. The point was I got hate for adding tags rights after but multiple (not just you sorry you was just a direct example) of contributors upload no tags and add after but wrs privately messaged me dissing me for it

Again want to put it more clearly. Not a diss to you in anyway.

I’ve seen approvers and moderators alike upload first and add tags after. I’ve been told by approvers in the past that’s okay so long as the post isn’t left untagged for too long(very short interval). The problem is how long the post is left with no tags. Which is why I clarified in this context it was because the safari disconnected from the site while I was tagging. I reacted immediately as soon as the site connected again which was under 3 mins. I have no context to your situation, If you have further issues with feedback you’ve been given by a moderator communicate with that moderator in private, or speak to a different moderator or an admin. Again do so in private. Causing drama in a public post(because that’s exactly what you’re doing regardless of intention) is not the way to go about it.

I don't know which post you were criticized for, but there are tags that should always be added before uploading. Mainly things like commonly blacklisted tags such as genitals, sexual fluids, guro, etc., as well as the Gold+ only tags. If one of the images you tagged after uploading had that kind of content, then it's possible that was the reason.
For other tags, it is technically allowed to add them after posting. As long as it's something not likely to be blacklisted, it's not a huge deal if it's left untagged for only a few minutes. However, I think it's better to tag as thoroughly as possible before posting anyway. In sinhaven69's case, they're lucky they were only disconnected for a couple minutes. It could've easily been a couple hours. Either way, adding the tags afterward has a minor risk of leaving it untagged for an extended time. This risk drops to 0 when you add them all on the upload screen.
Some users do it to avoid getting sniped, but I don't think the risk is so high that it's necessary to do this. In my case, I have over 8,500 uploads and only got sniped once (though the series I upload from are typically from dead or obscure gachas, so maybe I just don't have a lot of competition).
Also, Contributors do get punished for leaving posts untagged for extended periods. One was recently banned for a week because they not only showed no improvement in their tagging, but also created a favgroup specifically for posts they left untagged and planned to tag later.
