I like how her first instinct is not to help Kyouko retrieve Jo'on or Miyoi save her inn but to try and pull her own fast one over Jo'on.

I see this attitude even among so many self proclaimed 'normal people' nowadays. Why does it seem to be such a predominant mindset?

My guess is Mamizou wanted to tech Jo'on a lesson.
