The way it's written is black-colored 黒い色 (kuroiro) and not black the color 黒 (noun) / 黒い (adjective). The artist does the same thing in a later speech bubble (note #3400542) written as くろーい色 (kurooiro, slightly lengthened "o" but still the same word), but this time it gets translated as "dark colors", which I feel is probably a more accurate translation to convey the desired meaning. I would change the translation to something like, "Ever wonder why Rice-san's race costume is dark-colored?".

I will always find it weird (and kind of hilarious really) how Yakuza talk gets translated into British farmer talk.

Was thinking South African English (probably zef talk), complete with Afrikaans-derived slang, for Hiroshima dialect. @NNescio

EDIT: TBH honestly it rather fits with Nisshin (if at the very least because she speaks in a weird mix of hiroshima and zipangese) but it feels rather ill-fitting on Tomoe Murakami in that translation you did for this (post #4643425) since she's a yakuza and she's speaking what is basically a farmer dialect in English for the translation. Personally I feel making her talk like a 50s Greaser would have been a much better fit since she does act like someone from the 50s. Of course the issue is that there's no distinct phonetics that can be so easily replicated on text so South African English would be the safest bet for her in that department.
