Come to think of it, I have been playing this game for a while now and I have yet to find a chest that has tried to eat me. I have found a few that teleport me to places unknown, and almost died as a result but that is it. Are there Mimic's in Elden Ring?

No, there are no chest mimics.

I always hit the chests regardless tho

Elden Ring's "Mimics" are those enemies that turn into other monsters when you kill them and drop larval tears.

its still probably healthy practice because you never know maybe Miyazaki will put them in a DLC zone
