That's for the regular Hiei cooking, here it's a prototype sauce made by the unholy collaboration between Hiei and Isikaze, there are things that are beyond even Akagi's abilities.

Still, that's one crisis averted. I guess it'll be Italian cuisine for everyone then.

Unholy prototype sauce: Chernobyl liquid, few pounds of gunpower, soviet biochemical experiments waste. Akagi would instantly perish or turn back into a battlecruiser.

nonono. this is not hazmat disposal like usual. le cardinal put something in the food that could brainwash shipgirl to worship zuiun (as indicated by previous strip). thus KUROtori try to prevent it from happening.

edit: after re-reading again... I'm not so sure. basically le cardinal trying to put all shipgirl to half-conscious state using hiei-isokaze 'spice'. so they will be more susceptible to zuiunism. I'm having doubt it will work in starved Akagi.

That's because in game Kaga does have a slightly higher consumption than Akagi but almost all new players get Akagi first and have her start sucking up fuel, ammo and baux.

IIRC, there was a glitch in the game's early days where, if Akagi lost even a single plane, she would always consume enough bauxite to replace her entire air wing.

It took me this fucking long until I read his tweet to realize that the Katori-Kashima handling Akagi are the vanilla ones. Apparently I:
1. Completely missed KuroKashima's last punchline bubble
2. Thought the white sleeves are coloring errors
3. Forgot the white ones exist

I have never felt so stupid

To be fair on #3, Ido barely uses the vanilla version of either one. This appears to be the first page in years where Ido used Katori classic.

Way back in the 1st Europe arc. Unless there are more in the print versions, we then went straight to the Kuro ones.

I feel this was a missed opportunity to show how the "animal trainer" white Katori interacts with the "seductress" black Katori.

EDIT: Looks like I went stupid again, because white Katori did appear post that arc chronologically. The "training" strip just got posted on the web later.
