Hmmm, on my tomato plants, the caterpillars usually eat holes in the leaves before the fruit get that big. That gives me a chance to pick them off before too much damage occurs.

It's something like "Yamaoka's sweetfish ain't worth diddly!" (The full line is これに比べると山岡さんの鮎はカスや, "Compared to this, Yamaoka's sweetfish ain't worth diddly!") It's apparently an Oishinbo quote, a rather harsh criticism of the protagonist's sweetfish tempura, delivered in Kansai-ben.

@Moonspeaker Very late reply but, thank you for filling in. This was a busy/stressful few months for me and translations here really fell off the wayside as a priority.
