I'm getting convinced that Kongou isn't so much reacting out of concern that someone will take the admiral away from her as some sort of insistence that everyone behave like they're voiced by BRYAN BLESSED or Norrrrrio Wakamoto or something.

Kongou's head seems smaller/body seems larger than normal in that announcement pose.

Time to find a bucket of ice water to splash Kongou with, to save Ooi.

This admiral wouldn't get the usual bucket to the head, and would just quietly walk back out if he walked in by mistake, so there's no dramatic payoff going that route.

This Aoba isn't portrayed so much as the Aya with the serial numbers filed off that most artists draw, so she's probably a poor choice, as well.

Murakumo only gets angry for flirting during a war meeting. She's just walk past this noise, so again, not dramatic.

Either it's going to be a cut to a new scene, this whole arc is going to be dropped for one that focuses on other characters, or at most, Ooi has had enough and gets violent.
