Added error tag because the chessboard kings and queens are in the wrong positions. The queen goes on the center space of her own color, and the king on the other-colored center space (White = Queen on left, King on right; Black = Queen on right, King on left). The error tag description says it's not limited to anatomical or artistic errors.

If memory serves, there are some rulesets where the king in on it's color, not the queen.

I mean, she probably learned the rules a few hundred years ago from an even older chess manual.

Also, Patchouli is playing black, the side which moves second, and yet all of white's pieces are in their starting positions with the exception of the queen/king error.

Further, her queen has no legal moves from that position, as all of her other pieces are also in their starting positions, and the queen cannot move over other pieces.
