That line brought into my mind that one legendary 2 chan poster, who had a crush on a girl who, if I remember right helped the poster in question against some bullies in real life. The poster asked some advice on 2 chan what kind of clothes should he wear for a date and what kind of gifts should he buy, or something like that. When the denizens of 2 chan inquired further into the relationship of the two, it became obvious that the poster was absurdly optimistic about his chanches, even to the point of being delusional, and that the girl was obviously avoiding the guy. When some people who actually took the matter seriously tried to wake up the guy from his dreams, he didn't listen at all, but of course he listened to the trolls who "gave him advice"...

To this day, I don't know if the guy was a genius troll or delusional, but for once, I wish for the former.

Yep, that one. It has been a while since I read the thread, and I didn't remember the nickname of that guy. I've met people like that too, but not ones at such a extreme level such as the "Denko guy". Honestly, I feel sorry for the girl the Denko guy had eyes one. She is too nice for her own good.
