Tag for grabbing or tugging on someone's clothes

Posted under Tags

Specifically for the action of tugging or pulling someone else's clothes to get their attention or holding on to them (e.g. holding post #2068206, post #1945095, post #2067065; tugging for attention post #1870092, post #1859726, post #1746714). I don't mean tugging one's own clothes away or down, or pulling someone else's off.

Currently these actions are tagged with clothes_pull, clothes_tug, clothes_grab or specifically jacket_grab, shirt_tug or shirt_pull. Only shirt_pull and shirt_tug have wiki pages, and the intent of those tags doesn't match what I described. I thought it would be worth it to agree on one or two tags. It doesn't seem that jacket_grab is a distinct enough action to warrant it's own tag.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm thinking you should create implications to the three general clothes tagsfrom more specific tags like jacets and shirts. Clothes_tug and clothes_pull are basically similar enough as an alias can be done to either of them but clothes_grab is more distinct as you're specifically grasping on clothes. Wiki pages have to be created to more properly define the tags.

Before going off and creating your own definitions of these tags, you should probably review first the older tags that used the naming scheme and see how the various terms were written out.

Shirt Pull Wiki:

Like shirt lift but with the top pulled down instead of up, usually showing the bra or bare breasts/chest. Only really works on garments with loose collars. Compare with shirt tug, where the bottom of a shirt is pulled, but without the intent or effect of moving the collar of the shirt.

Dress Pull Wiki:

Like shirt pull but with a dress instead of a shirt, where the top of the dress pulled down, usually showing the bra or bare breasts/chest.

Not to be confused with dress tug.

Skirt Pull Wiki:

When a skirt is being pulled up or down for the purpose of dressing or undressing.

Swimsuit Pull Wiki:

In this case, the one-piece swimsuit's straps are pulled down from the shoulders to reveal part or all of the chest area. Also to be used when part of a bikini is pulled down.

This is different from swimsuit aside, in which the swimsuit is pulled from the crotch.

Shirt Tug Wiki:

Like shirt pull where the shirt is pulled downward, in this case with the intent of adjusting the fit of the clothing, or more commonly to cover the crotch or undergarments.

Dress Tug Wiki:

The act of pulling of the dress in an attempt to cover revealed skin in embarrassment. Basically the opposite of dress lift.

Skirt Tug Wiki:

Tugging on one's own skirt, usually to cover the crotch. The opposite of a skirt lift.

As can be seen, the term pull refers to pulling the clothes until what is underneath is being exposed. Tug is used to refer to pulling on clothing, but not to a degree which would start removing the garment from the person or stretch it in a manner that would expose what is underneath.

Thanks NWF Renim, it's very helpful to see them compared like that. In addition to what you mentioned, it seems tug is typically used to describe adjusting one's own clothing. Also, the intent behind both pull and tug is to move or shift the garment in some manner. In that case, to avoid confusion with the other terms, I'd suggest using clothes_grab to describe holding on to someone else's clothes, or lightly tugging them to get the person's attention, without the intent to move the clothes at all.

Update: I added wiki pages for clothes grab and jacket grab along the lines mentioned above, and requested an implication for jacket grab > clothes grab. I also added a wiki page for clothes pull as a catch all for actions that don't apply to the more specific pull actions.
I've been going through the various pull and tug tags and retagging images that don't meet the definitions. Will continue working on that.
Thank you tapnek and NWF Renim for the advice and suggestions. I hope this has been an (admittedly minuscule) improvement.
