He is the Fourth Children selected to be the pilot of Evangelion Unit 03. At school he is said to act like a tough boy and stereotypical jock. He is friends with Aida Kensuke, Horaki Hikari, and Ikari Shinji.

He is voiced by Seki Tomokazu.
